## What Is an India e-Visa?
An India e-Visa is an official electronic travel authorization issued by the Government of India that allows foreign nationals to enter India for tourism, business, or medical purposes.The entire process is completed online, and once approved, the visa is sent to the applicant by email. No embassy visit is required.
## Eligibility for Applicants from Italy
Citizens of Italy are eligible to apply for an India e-Visa. Applications can be submitted online from anywhere in Italy.
Passport Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months validity from arrival date
- - Tourist e-Visa – For holidays, sightseeing, or visiting family
- Business e-Visa – For meetings, trade, or commercial activities
- Medical e-Visa – For short-term medical treatment

### 4. Pay the Visa Fee
Payment is made securely online via credit or debit card.
### 5. Receive Approval
Processing usually takes 3–5 business days.
The approved e-Visa will be sent to your email.
## Entry into India
e-Visa holders may enter through designated airports such as Indira Gandhi International Airport and other approved entry points.
Final entry approval is granted by immigration authorities upon arrival.
